2:1 minimum first degree, or equivalent, with mathematics as a main field of study. A 2:2 may be acceptable. Those with a third class degree or other qualification may be admitted after passing the Diploma in Mathematics with a distinction or merit.
Months of entry
Course contentThis programme consists of a wide range of courses and a project. The coursework is organised on a module system. A supervisor assists each student in choosing modules, taking a majority from the two main blocks of Pure Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. You may also choose certain courses from the Financial Mathematics programme.

Fees and fundingThe E T Davies scholarship will be awarded to one, or shared by two, outstanding applicants. The value of the scholarship is not fixed, but will vary between £1,000 and the current home fee rate.
