Entry requirements

Minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) undergraduate degree in Philosophy or any other field (which may but need not be Medicine). Conversion students should show evidence of an interest in and aptitude for the subject.

Course content

Equally geared both to progressing Philosophy students, and to those converting into Philosophy from medicine or another subject. Designed to provide a solid knowledge base from which you can progress on to further work in the medical professions on to further research in Philosophy of Medicine.

Fees and funding

British and EU residents can apply for AHRC studentships. Some Graduate School and School of Arts & Humanities studentships and bursaries are also available. Departmental scholarships: Sorabji Graduate Bursary Fund (open to all students); Susan Stebbing Graduate Award (open to female students only).
