Entry requirements

A 2:1 Honours degree or an equivalent qualification in an area relevant to culture or education. Lower undergraduate grades will be considered in exceptional circumstances, and only when combined with work experience in the cultural sector.

In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme.

Our Education in Arts & Cultural Settings MA offers you the exciting opportunity to study at one of the world’s leading arts organisations, and learn from leading academics in education research. The course is jointly taught by the Learning and Participation Department at Southbank Centre and the School of Education, Communication & Society at King’s.

Learning and participation are central and you will be taught by leading academics in education research. If you currently work, or if you aspire to work, in education, learning and participation in arts and cultural organisations and related sectors, then our course is ideal for you. You will be encouraged to develop your academic research skills to become reflexive educators in arts and cultural settings.
