- A 2:2 degree may be considered only where applicants also offer a Masters degree with Merit or above.

Course content
The School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences pursues internationally leading research programmes that address the fundamental mechanisms underlying normal and abnormal cardiovascular function, and drives translation of strong basic science into advances in clinical practice.
- REF2014: Ranked first in the United Kingdom for Clinical Medicine, in terms of the proportion of our overall submission that was ranked 4* or 3* (Unit of Assessment 1 – Clinical Medicine)
- Research income: £32m including substantial funding from the MRC, BBSRC, BHF, Wellcome Trust, EU and other organisations
- Current number of staff: 47 principal investigators and PhD supervisors
- Current number of research students: 95 between PhD, MDRes and MRes
