Entry requirements

Academic Requirements
2:1 Hons degree (UK or equivalent) or Masters degree in Chemistry, or an equivalent degree in a related discipline such as Physics or Chemical Engineering, appropriate to the proposed research project.

Course content

Our Masters by research programme provides the opportunity to undertake a short, in depth independent research project in one of our research groups. It will equip you for more sustained and original work at the doctoral level or for advanced-level applied research positions. This degree will develop relevant analytical and technical skills, together with transferable skills related to research, communication, problem solving, and independent working.

Information for international students

We normally require an IELTS (Academic) Test with an overall score of at least 6.5, and a minimum of 6.0 in each element of the test.
