Entry requirements

You should have at least a 2:2 honours degree in a related subject or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. IELTS: 6.0 with no skill below 5.5 (or equivalent).

Course content

This accredited course will equip you with a well-developed understanding of both international financial reporting and management accounting. You will explore the theoretical principles of these subjects and the issues and challenges faced by companies when applying them.

Your course has six core modules and you will select one option module in semester two. You could choose to study forensic accounting, investment fund management or financial decision analysis alongside your core modules.

You might be a recent graduate, or you could already be working as a finance officer or tax advisor. You might also be in a management position and be looking to work towards chartered accountant status. On completion of this course, you will gain exemptions from the following Association of Chartered Certified Accountants papers: F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 and F7.

This course also carries a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Gateway exemption so you will be able to gain 12 paper exemptions on successful completion of the Gateway Exam.
