Course content

Over recent years, the role accounting professionals play in business decisions has become increasingly important to the success of any organisation. As a qualified accountant, this course will allow you to refresh your technical skills and develop new ways of thinking about current management and financial accounting issues.

You will examine real-life case studies to gain new insights into the latest accounting techniques and you will compare these to your own workplace practices. Working with your fellow students, you will study the growing importance of financial reporting and you will discuss accounting standards and how they could be developed to improve your organisation’s fiscal statements.

You could spread your study hours out and attend a session on campus one day a week, or you could choose to undertake two weeks of intensive study sessions on campus before conducting the remainder of your course online. Alternatively, if you choose the distance learning option you will study this flexible course entirely online from anywhere in the world.
