About this Executive MSc programme

This programme offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary toolkit which integrates rigorous health economics training with insights into the policy process, the design and analysis of health services research, and discusses current health management It aims to help professionals accelerate their existing careers by enhancing their understanding of health financing and management, cost-effectiveness analysis, and pharmaceutical economics.

You will have the opportunity to engage with the UK's top academics, policy-makers and professionals in international health. You will be taught by leading UK and European academics in the areas of health economics, management and policy.

The programme is delivered across two years, with four, two-week LSE-based modules, as well as a dissertation on a topic of your choice. Your first year will consist of compulsory modules. But in your second year, you have the flexibility to customise your curriculum by choosing from a range of optional modules, allowing you to pursue the areas which interest you and fit your background, experience and goals.

Previous participants on the programme have included a diverse group of professionals from various health services, insurance funds, international agencies, and health care, pharmaceutical and consulting companies from across the globe.

Department of Health Policy

The Department is a graduate department, preparing students for careers in health policy leadership. The Department carries out impactful health and social care research, influences and informs national and global policy-making and implementation. You will have the opportunity to engage with the UK's top academics, policy-makers and professionals in international health. You will be taught by leading UK and European academics in the areas of health economics, management and policy.
