As a PhD student at Loughborough University, we want you to feel part of the research team, and feel supported and motivated by this network. We provide comprehensive training so that PhD, EngD, MPhil and MRes students can hone their research skills, but also benefit from practical guidance related to identifying skills, coping with the demands of their research project, be they academic or pastoral, and maximising their employability.

A number of programmes are available on a full- or part-time basis, and some modules are offered as week-long programmes to allow more flexible study.

How to apply
Applications for taught or research programmes are made using our online application form, and are welcomed all year round. Your application must be supported by documentary evidence of entry qualifications, including English language, academic transcripts and references, which can all be submitted online.
Fees and funding
The two costs of a taught postgraduate course are tuition fees and your accommodation and day-to-day living costs. Tuition fees cover the cost of your teaching, assessment and operating University facilities such as the library, IT equipment and other support services, and vary between courses.
