The Master’s in Water Resources Engineering at Lund University addresses global water security challenges by focusing on sustainable water management, wastewater treatment, storm water management, coastal hydraulics, and hydrological processes. The programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-relevant skills, preparing students to tackle water-related issues that affect healthcare, food supply, and quality of life.

In partnership with the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH), the programme includes a unique UNU Hub on Water in a Changing Environment (WICE). This initiative allows students to work on real-world solutions to global water challenges, with some students eligible for a special UNU Hub Master’s track.
