Login to hear game designer and NFTS alumnus, John Lau, discussing his work, creative process and sharing insights and advice on developing a successful career working in Games Design and Development.

John is a game designer and a scrum-certified games producer with 15 years of production experience. He is currently a Lead Producer on ustwo games, where he worked on Monument Valley III. Before that, he worked on the critically acclaimed South of the Circle by State of Play games.

John’s main interests lie in games as a storytelling medium, and he has experience in concepting, level design, story development, and prototyping in Unity and C#.

John will be in conversation with NFTS Head of Games Design and Development, Andre van Rooijen. With a background in fine art, Andre has been leading and coaching game art teams from concept to release on original IP, as well as licensed products for brands like Adidas and Sony across all major interactive platforms, including PC, consoles and mobile, before moving into higher education to teach the future generation of game developers.
