Entry requirements
Offers are generally extended to applicants who possess an undergraduate degree with at least upper second-class honours (or an equivalent qualification). Each applicant will be evaluated individually based on their application, references, a creative writing sample, and a personal statement. Northeastern University London also encourages applications from mature students who may have been away from formal education for some time but have relevant professional experience.

The Master of Arts in Contemporary Creative Writing at Northeastern University London equips students with the knowledge, skills, and discipline needed to succeed as creative writers today. The literary marketplace in the twenty-first century offers more routes to publication than ever before, but it also requires specialized skills and knowledge alongside artistic talent. From the first moment in our MA program, students are regarded as writers and receive support in achieving their personal and professional creative goals.
