Course content
No matter what your background is, Northumbria University’s online Computer Science MSc is your chance to specialise, drive digital change and get ahead of the curve in an ever-changing industry.
In the first half of the course, you’ll develop your practical computing skills with modules exploring programming, data modelling and analytics, secure web development and more. You’ll then have the choice of two specialist pathways - Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence – giving you the chance to harness the skills needed to forge a career in some of the fastest growing sectors in the computing industry.
However you choose to specialise, you’ll be taught by academics from one of the UK’s Top 50 Universities (Guardian University Guide, 2022). Our Computer and Information Sciences department is at the cutting edge of digital change.
The course is flexible. As a distance learning student, you’ll be able to take control and study your way. Plus, you’ll have the freedom to pay your fees in module by module instalments. You’ll be on track to gain a Masters in around two years, part time, or you can take longer if you need.
