Courses designed for success

Our range of taught, postgraduate courses are designed to develop in-depth knowledge in a specialist field of study. All foster skills that are valuable in a professional context, such as analysis, independent critical enquiry and effective communication. Many have been designed in consultation with our contacts in business, the public services and the professions to have direct practical applications in the workplace. Others are oriented more towards fostering research skills and furthering an academic career.

Outstanding facilities and support

From award-winning libraries with 24-7 access and thousands of PCs, to study support workshops and an online learning workspace available to students, NTU equips you with the tools you need to succeed.

The University has invested more than £450 million in its campuses since 2003, resulting in an impressive range of facilities including:

  • a crime scene house
  • mock courtrooms
  • an equestrian centre
  • the centre for broadcasting and journalism
  • an observatory
  • a Superlab for bioscience, chemistry, and forensic science

There is also an online workspace to allow students to access their University learning resources from anywhere in the world. This provides access to blogs, discussion forms, online learning materials and electronic assessment tools, meaning plenty of opportunities for collaborative and independent learning.

ll three of our campuses provide high-quality on-site in a range of furnished self-catering residences offering en suite or shared bathroom facilities. Nottingham – a cosmopolitan city of culture and creativity

Nottingham is one of the most popular student cities in the UK, with over 60,000 students choosing to make the city their home.

The city offers a wide range of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit every taste, together with a generous helping of music, culture, sports, shopping and nightlife including the famous Rock City. It’s also home to two great theatres; the Theatre Royal and Nottingham Playhouse where you can catch some of the biggest names in theatre, as well as some more independent productions.

NTU is the first UK university to be awarded the Purple Flag accreditation – for its night-time culture and promoting the safety and wellbeing of visitors and students.

Most courses we offer will specify minimum entry requirements, but we'll assess your suitability for the course based on the merits of your application. We may offer places on the basis of non-standard qualifications, or your industry or professional experience.
