This postgraduate diploma explores the fundamental roles language plays across diverse personal and professional settings. You’ll examine the core components of linguistic study, engaging with theoretical approaches to language and how its building blocks construct meaning. You’ll also gain experience applying different methodologies of analysis before choosing a specialist route. In the Applied Linguistics route, you’ll explore English language and linguistics in professional contexts, or in the Artificial Intelligence route, focus on the relationship between language use and evolving global technologies. This qualification enhances your expertise for communication-led careers and offers the option to progress to our MA in Linguistics.
