Entry requirements

We welcome students from all regions of the world and from a wide range of sectors and job functions. Our students come from technical or engineering backgrounds; they’re experienced project managers, local government or healthcare professionals, doctors and accountants working in the energy, IT, education and charity sectors. And it’s this diversity which enhances your MBA journey and provides you with an experienced MBA network to work with and learn from.

You will need:

  • a minimum of three years' relevant managerial or professional experience
  • a good degree (or GPA equivalent) or relevant postgraduate/post-experience qualification from a recognised institution, or a professional qualification from an approved and recognised body which is equivalent to a degree;
  • two written references (normally one academic).

Alternatively it is possible to enter the MBA programme without a degree on the basis of a minimum of seven years' relevant managerial or professional experience.

English language requirements

If your first or main language is not English, you must show the university that your level of English is good enough to study at MBA level.

In addition to the standard entry qualifications, you must have a British Council IELTS qualification (or equivalent); normally 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 in reading and writing.

We can advise you on other acceptable alternatives.

If you need to improve your English language skills to meet the entry requirements of the MBA, you can join our pre-sessional courses including a Summer School at our International Centre. Please ask us for advice.
