PFH Private University of Applied Sciences, established in 1995, is a state-recognised university that focuses on training and educating future managers and specialists in key technologies.

Employability is at the centre of all our endeavours.

The university’s philosophy is that personal mastery, academic excellence, and practical knowledge and experience are essential to becoming a responsibly-acting professional. This may only be achieved through individual attention combined with theoretically founded and practice-oriented teaching. With career and coaching services as well as individual mentoring embedded into the university’s structure, all study programmes are characterised by their practical and economic relevance, their internationality and a pronounced orientation towards careers.

PFH offers a total of 17 on-campus or distance-learning study programmes in business, engineering, psychology, and healthcare technology. More than 2,300 students study either on campus in Göttingen, Hamburg-Stade or Berlin or at one of the 13 distance-learning centres located in Germany and Austria. Thanks to its efficiently organised, practice and market-oriented study programmes, graduates of PFH are in great demand with companies. 99% of young PFH professionals working today started their jobs within six months of graduation. Since its beginnings, the university is in close cooperation with academic organisations, research institutes and private businesses at both national and international level, thus providing an ideal platform for interdisciplinary exchange of know-how and practice-oriented teaching.

General Management

The Master of Science in General Management will qualify you for challenging activities in business and academia. It will equip you, in particular, to carry out leadership functions in companies and organisations. The Master's qualification will also open up an academic career path and a doctorate to you. PFH Management graduates are employed throughout the world and in a wide variety of industries today: as a marketing manager in Asia, as a controller in a DAX company, as an adviser in a public auditing firm, as an international market representative for an automotive group, as a brand specialist in the food industry, as a managing director of the graduate's own start-up or as a Professor of Business Administration at a university.


The Master of Science in Composites will give you a cross-industry qualification enabling you to undertake management tasks in activities related to fibre composites. It will, for example, open up excellent career prospects in aircraft construction, automotive engineering, machine construction, ship und yacht building, railway vehicle and wind turbine construction.

Diverse Professional Opportunities for Psychologists

There are a variety of professional opportunities for graduates of a study programme in Psychology. In the pedagogical field, educational and social institutions are important employers for graduates of the Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with, for example, psychological activities in the context of school psychology and learning therapy being possible. Health authorities and rehabilitation clinics offer interesting lines of work in the field of health psychology. Particularly in the light of the growing importance of prevention and health preservation, varied and diverse tasks can be found here. Master's graduates are additionally qualified to undertake complex psychological activities in the fields of counselling, diagnostics, intervention planning and evaluation in educational, health, social and business institutions.

Interesting Lines of Work for Business Psychologists

Companies and management consultancies, in particular, offer lines of work for business psychologists. Psychological services of administrations and other public institutions also employ business psychologists. Other relevant deployment possibilities can be found in the area of personnel and Human Resource Management as well as in market research institutes and the marketing, media and advertising sector. Finally, there are also exciting professional opportunities within industry's institutions of initial, advanced and continuing education and public organisations.

PFH Campus Göttingen offers all the benefits of a small, dynamic university within the inspiring environment of one of the most renowned university towns in Germany. Blessed with a young population of 125,000 people and 30,000 students, today, the city of Göttingen has more than 25 R&D institutes, including four Max-Planck-Institutes and the German Aerospace Center. Over the centuries, the city has bred 44 Nobel laureates, the latest of whom won the prize in 2014. Several leading high-tech companies, especially in measurement technologies, automotive supplies and bionic mobility have their base in Göttingen.

Campus Hamburg-Stade

Engineering / Business

Hansecampus Stade is located in CFK-Valley and comprises 3,000sqm of lecture halls, conference and seminar rooms, state-of-the-art laboratories, offices and a cafeteria. Home to key operations of over 70 European companies in the field of carbon fibre composites, all CFRP process chain stages including R&D, production and recycling take place here.

With a 1,000-year-old history and high density of high-tech industries, Stade is a city that hovers between tradition and innovation. As part of the metropolitan region of Hamburg, Stade provides an ideal location for industry and science while offering its inhabitants of 45,000 the advantages of both a small town and a big city. Short distances combined with an excellent infrastructure provide ideal conditions for living, working and studying. Moreover, the old town center, its street cafés and bars lend Stade a unique and charming character.

Campus Berlin


For Campus Berlin PFH cooperates with the renowned TU Berlin. Like Campus Hamburg-Stade, Campus Berlin offers an excellent infrastructure.

The capital city of Germany has more to offer than just the hubbub of federal politics: from a consolidated business network to unimaginable cultural extravagances, from an untempered nightlife to midday concerts, Berlin has everything a true world city could aspire to.
