Research That Shapes Worlds

Queen’s University Belfast is a member of the Russell Group, a group of 24 leading UK research intensive universities. We are ranked 24th in the UK for Research Power with 88% of research submitted by Queen’s has been assessed as world-leading or internationally excellent (REF 2021/ Times Higher Education).

The Graduate School is located in the beautifully restored and remodelled Victorian Lynn library, where distinguished heritage meets 21st-century vision. This fully accessible space has modern, hi-tech meeting and group study rooms, a silent study area and social spaces. It's a vibrant hub, inspiring intellectual exchange and collaboration. Here, students make valuable connections, benefit from mentoring relationships and networks, and from our international partnerships with other graduate schools.

As well as central career and employer events, Graduate School employability programmes, ‘Future Ready’ and ‘Master Your Future Success’ prepares postgraduate students for their next steps.

Queen’s Graduate Plus award is a vehicle for accrediting work-related learning and skills that current postgraduate taught students develop through extra-curricular activities, including the range of skills development workshops offered by the Graduate School. The Graduate Plus is a specific award for Master's students and is recognised by a range of employers.

Queen's graduates have an excellent track record in highly successful and diverse careers. Work experience is embedded in many of our programmes, and employers actively target our graduates.

Accommodation


Queen's residential accommodation is a safe and friendly place to live for all students. We offer a range of campus and city-based accommodation and you’ll find it’s some of the best value student accommodation anywhere in the UK, as well as being located within easy walking distance of the University.

Willow Walk is purpose built accommodation ideally suited to the needs of international and Postgraduate students.

Mount Charles is suitable accommodation for returning students who want a more independent lifestyle. There are 38 week and 40 week contracts available and the property is situated just a few minutes' walk from the main University buildings.

It's your essential hub, linking everything outside the classroom, in one place, from meeting friends, to getting the support you need, when you need it. Transforming the support offered by the University, it will host a range of student services and activities.

The stunning new multi-million pound One Elmwood is right at the heart of campus. It brings together university services and the Students’ Union (SU), under one roof.
