Entry requirements
Minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline or an equivalent professional qualification.
As a full-time student you are encouraged to obtain a period of pre-course professional work experience before joining.
As a part-time student you should be employed in general practice surveying or have substantial contact with a property-related firm.
If English is not your first language you typically need an IELTS 6.0 score with a minimum of 5.5 in all other skills or equivalent.
If your English language skill is currently below IELTS 6.0 we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English score.

The MSc Real Estate is designed for graduates with a non-property- related degree and existing practitioners who want to go on to become Chartered Surveyors through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
This fast-track course provides an intellectually challenging and professionally relevant education, underpinned by academic and professional expertise. It combines a unique blend of academic rigor, practical application and professional development, providing the relevant skills necessary for those wishing to operate in the property industry.
The course offers an international field trip, included in your fees (recent destinations have included Shanghai and Toronto).
