Entry requirements
Normally an honours degree (2.2 or above) or equivalent in any subject.
You may also be considered if you do not hold a degree but can provide evidence of relevant professional experience.

Course content
Become an effective practitioner across all major platforms of multimedia journalism, with specialist writing, editing and video skills, knowledge and expertise in reporting.
- Develop traditional and digital reporting skills and equip yourself to work in the fast-paced world of modern journalism. Gain understanding of media technologies that affect the way journalists discover, record and report the latest stories.
- Gain specialist expertise across a range of media platforms; online and social media, television, radio, newspapers and magazines, photography and visualisation.
- Critically analyse and discuss major issues in British and international journalism including truth and verification, media impact and current ethical challenges.
The course offers career enhancement for those already working as journalists through advancing knowledge and understanding of the latest trends and emerging technologies.
