Founded in 1870, St. John’s is a Catholic and Vincentian university that prepares students for personal and professional success in today’s global society. Our quality springs from an institutional vision of excellence and service. Students come from nearly 50 states and close to 120 foreign countries to pursue more than 100 associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in the arts, business, education, law, pharmacy, the sciences, and specialized professional programs.

Pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in more than 100 programs and concentrations, they receive many of the academic world’s top honors. This past year, 10 St. John’s students earned Fulbright awards to teach and study in such varied locations as Andorra, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, and South Korea.



Queens Campus

The Queens campus features broad lawns, handsome stone buildings and ultramodern student residence halls. Facilities include high-tech laboratory and classroom buildings; the main collections of our 1.7 million-volume Library; and state-of-the-art athletic facilities for students and our BIG EAST, Division I athletic teams.


Rome Campus

The campus, which the University established in 1995, combines the unique cultural resources of a great European capital with the world-class courses and faculty available at St. John’s.

Paris Campus

St. John’s opened its Paris location in 2008 as the latest site for its growing Study Abroad programs. Since 1995, the University has maintained a campus in Rome, Italy, that serves students in the Rome Semester and Discover the World Europe courses
