It provides knowledge about the history, politics, economics and social and cultural development in Latin America, the Caribbean and the Hispanic USA, as well as knowledge in Portuguese.

The Bachelor Programme is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program focusing on the diverse regions of Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Spanish-speaking parts of the United States. This 180-credit program spans six semesters and offers a deep dive into the region's history, politics, economy, and social and cultural development. Students choose a specialization in either Spanish or Portuguese, which forms a core part of their studies alongside courses in Latin American Studies.

The curriculum is designed to provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge, integrating social sciences and humanities. Key themes include the evolving political and economic landscape of Latin America, the rise of new movements, and the ongoing struggle for rights and inclusion by previously marginalized groups. The program also includes the possibility of an internship in Latin America, giving students practical experience to complement their academic studies.
