Course content
This specialization gives you a deep knowledge of French-language literature. In addition, the studies also offer a broader perspective where the French-language literature is related to literatures of other Romance-languages, such as Italian or Portuguese, in a comparative perspective.
In addition to courses on the theory of interpretation and narrative, the programme gives you an in-depth knowledge of French literature from a genre theory- and aesthetics based perspective, the role of French- and Romance-language literatures in a global world, and the emergence of national literatures in Romance languages.
