We have a proven track record of offering vocationally relevant programmes which give you the knowledge and skills employers demand. Our students have the opportunity to carry out industry-linked research projects and undertake work placements with partner organisations such as IBM, the NHS and Rolls-Royce.

The Swansea Employability Academy can also help you develop your skills in CV writing, job searching and interview techniques, boosting your employability in a competitive jobs market.

Scholarships and funding

The University invests significantly in postgraduate study, with over £10 million in postgraduate scholarships available last year. We have research and master’s scholarships available across all academic subject areas. Visit our scholarships page for details.

Welsh/EU domiciled students starting master’s courses at Swansea in September 2018 may be eligible to receive one of 621 bursaries worth £3,400 each.

Postgraduate student loans are also available for UK/EU students starting eligible master’s programmes at Swansea. If you are an English domiciled or EU student looking to undertake a PhD level course with us, you may be eligible to borrow up to £25,000 towards the cost of your doctoral studies.
