Course content

The Master of Science Project Management degree is designed specifically to focus on the key aspects and knowledge required for effective project management within a variety of organisations and sectors. You will develop a broad comprehension of the most important concepts in project management with a strategic global perspective through a range of modules including Systems Design & Management of Projects, Project Finance & Procurement and Managing People & Organisations.

The programme provides a strong focus on employability and is ideal if you are looking to pursue, advance or switch to a career in project management within any industry.

This course is accredited by The Chartered Management Institute so upon successful completion of the course, you will have the option to apply for a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership as well as your degree.

This course is offered as a 2-year full-time business master’s programme. Sharing the first year of study with the 1-year Project Management, the 2-year programme benefits from a second year of Professional Practice that is specifically aimed at fostering the employment opportunities of students. Offering greater flexibility than a traditional Placement year, our Professional Practice Year allows you to decide how to put your skills into practice. Choose between an academic dissertation, business plan, business or consultancy project, or a paid placement in industry, depending on the option that is best suited to your future career path.

Flexible study: We understand that everyone’s circumstances are different. That’s why we offer a wide range of study modes (full-time, part-time, on campus, online) across our courses to provide you with the greatest choice and flexibility you need to succeed in your studies.

Information for international students

An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Please see 'Alternative English language qualifications' section below for alternatives to IELTS.
