Entry requirements
The standard academic entry requirements for a Doctorate level programme is an Upper Second UK honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant science or engineering discipline or a first degree with an additional UK Masters degree (or international equivalent).

Course content
The Coatings and Ceramics research programmes are part of a progressive research area within the school; we have close links with industry and research councils and we work collaboratively with them on many areas of research within the subject. Research activities in this area are concerned with the development, understanding and evaluation of advanced ceramics and coatings.
