Course content

Our part-time course is aimed at those who come into contact with students in their roles, and want to further develop their teaching skills through a course with a strong emphasis on professional practice.

It is also suitable for individuals who are just embarking on a career in medical education and does not require previous teaching experience.

Most clinicians, medical researchers and health professionals engage in some form of teaching, whether this is on wards, in clinics or through other teaching opportunities with undergraduate students and/or trainees. However, few have had the opportunity for professional development in teaching.

Our programme is suitable for those new to medical education and training, as well as those with considerable experience.
