Entry requirements

A minimum of a lower second-class UK Bachelor’s degree or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard with at least 50% History content.

The English language level for this programme is: Level 2.

Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English

UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level.

Course content

Our History PGCE is highly practical and deeply theoretical, engaging with a wide range of inspirational thinking and outstanding practice in history education. Student teachers learn to help young people to think historically when understanding the world, themselves, and others. Students develop knowledge and understanding of teaching History at A-Level and learn to plan, teach and assess learners aged 11-16.
