Core options allow students to focus on Ukraine, Moldova, the Baltic states, or Central Asia, as well as Russia. Additional optional modules enable students to explore theoretical approaches from political science, sociology, and international relations, or to study a language of the region. The programme develops specialist knowledge of a strategically important but complex region, equipping students with analytical and research skills relevant for future work or further study.
