The MTh in Ministry Studies is a new two year, part time degree programme in Practical Theology that combines an intellectually challenging and practically significant introduction to the nature of Christian ministry in a changing, challenging and complex social and cultural environment.
This programme has been carefully designed so that it is accessible to those who are already engaged in either full time or part time, ordained or lay Christian ministry. It is built around four one week modules that will be delivered at Aberdeen University immediately before the beginning of the University terms, in September and January.
These week long intensive courses will serve the purpose of helping to build a community of learners which is an integral and important feature of the programme. The shared experience of working and studying closely together during these weeks will foster and nurture a sense of belonging among the students. This will be a distinctive and significant characteristic of the programme.
