Working alongside our team of spatial science researchers, you’ll gain an understanding of research methodology, data collection, and analysis, building the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills needed for a career in research.

You can explore multiple forms of spatial and remote sensing data including census and survey data, photogrammetry from unmanned aerial vehicles, and airborne and satellite-based multispectral/hyperspectral, lidar and radar data.

Our flexible approach enables you to tailor your studies to match your specific interests and the expertise of our researchers. You'll be linked to our Centre for Aquatic Environments, and have opportunities to work collaboratively across related disciplines such as physical and human geography, geology, ecology, environmental science, archaeology, agriculture, planning, and the built environment with GIS and remote sensing at the core of what you do.
