Course content

Underpinned by evidence-based practice and in partnership with public and private healthcare organisations, our Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship is an ideal grounding for those looking to develop and enhance their healthcare practice.

Nursing Associates work across all four fields of nursing within health and social care under the leadership and direction of a Registered Nurse.

Nursing Associates provide high-quality holistic and person-centred care to individuals. They will also support the Registered Nurse in the assessment, planning and evaluation of care. Nursing Associates will also be expected to undertake medicines management and develop transferable skills by undertaking placements in areas away from their own primary site.

Fees and funding

The cost of your learning programme is covered by your employer  through their Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) account, so it costs you nothing! Please take a look at the information for apprentices on our webpage.
