Entry requirements

A good 2.1 class honours degree and a good command of English. USA equivalent is a GPA of 3.7. We are happy to advise on appropriate levels from other systems.

Course content

A postgraduate course with a substantial research componenet. The course covers South Asia from the early modern period to the present, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. It is associated with the Faculty of History.

Information for international students

International students are expected to demonstrate fluent command of the English Language in IELTS (preferably) or TOEFL. The minimum requirement is an overall band score of 7.0 with 7 in speaking, writing and listening and 6.5 in reading. International students account for about two-thirds of the Cambridge History graduate community.
