Course content

The MSt in Genomic Medicine is part of the suite of postgraduate courses in Genomic Medicine. It is designed to educate suitably qualified NHS healthcare professionals from across the multi-professional team to prepare for the future adoption of genomic technologies and the increasing use of genomic information as part of the diagnostic and treatment pathway.

The programme has been developed by the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education and Cambridge University Hospitals in partnership with Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and European Bioinformatics Institute.

Information for international students

All applicants are required to demonstrate competency in English at a high level before commencing the programme (IELTS Academic test scores of: overall band score of 7.0, with not less than 7.0 in speaking, listening and writing, and 6.5 in reading).

Fees and funding

Funding is available from Health Education England for NHS employees wishing to apply for this course. Prospective students wishing to apply for HEE funding should refer to the HEE website and ensure that access to this funding is approved before applying for the course.
