The University of Cumbria in the North-West of England sits in one of the most beautiful areas of the United Kingdom. Campuses in Ambleside, Carlisle and Lancaster offer bags of character and history, with loads to do in the towns, cities and famously picturesque countryside nearby. The University also has smaller sites in Barrow, Workington and London.
The North West campuses also benefit from excellent transport links, with direct rail services to major UK cities and Manchester International Airport within easy reach.
Lucy Knowles undertook her PgD Youth and Community Development Work at the University of Cumbria to help her progress as a youth worker with Lancashire County Council. She is now working in New Zealand as a Youth Transition Co-ordinator and Youth Development Project Manager.
