Course content

As a professional accountant you’ll gain a better critical understanding of current theories and cutting-edge techniques when you gain your MSc in Accountancy from the University of Dundee.

This is an ideal course if you are already qualified with an IFAC member professional accountancy body (eg ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW, ICAI, CIPFA) and looking to build your professional qualification. The programme offers, through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), 50% (90 credits) of the 180 credits for a taught master's course to fully exam-qualified professional accountants.

Dundee is among the fastest risers in the 2017 Guardian University Rankings and has also been rated the best in Scotland by some of the most influential higher education surveys.

Our Accountancy staff have significant experience in their sector. They hold professional qualifications, and/or have close links with the profession through their academic research and networks. We have a strong track record of engaging in professional body-funded research which has contributed to policy debates in practice.
