Due to the high demand for places on this programme, applications received before 31st March will be given priority. Applications will be considered after this date, but places will be offered depending on availability. The minimum entry requirement is a UK 2:1 degree, or its international equivalent, in a numerate discipline such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, physical or biological sciences, economics or business.

This programme will show you how to use mathematical techniques to tackle real-life problems ranging from scheduling flights and routing mobile phone calls to managing investments and minimising risks. Operational research is an important skill that is in high demand.

Risk analysis and management are becoming increasingly important subjects and most large organisations are now active in producing and maintaining formal risk management strategies. This provides significant employment opportunities for graduates with an MSc in Operational Research with Risk.
