Course content

The MSc Education is our flagship taught postgraduate degree and one of our most popular programmes. It provides an ideal foundation for students who wish to work in education policy, research or practice or for those who want to go on to doctoral level study.

We are currently taking applications for a general MSc Education and now applicants have the opportunity to choose a pathway in a particular area of education where we have research and teaching strengths. The pathways on offer are a new and exciting innovation to the programme.

Through strategically designed compulsory courses and a wide range of options, this programme allows you to focus your studies on particular areas of interest and relevance to your educational and professional aims. With guidance from our staff and in a lively and supportive student community, you will take part in social and philosophical reflection about the nature, value and purposes of education.
