You will need at least a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent in a sport science or related discipline or substantial experience within the strength and conditioning field. EU and international students need IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in any other band) or equivalent.

With the rapid expansion of strength and conditioning provision around the UK, there is a growing need for highly qualified graduates in this field and for those already working within the setting to further extend their specialist strength and conditioning knowledge.
This masters degree offers the opportunity for students to learn and apply contemporary theoretical principles and scientific methodologies that enhance strength and conditioning practice. The programme is designed to build on the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA ) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS ) award and the UKSCA Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCC ) award, to provide a necessary range of theoretical and practical experiences for a career as a strength and conditioning practitioner.
You will study in our new Sports Hub, which complements our existing sports sciences labs, therapy rooms and strength and conditioning suite. The new hub includes an international standard sports hall, 3G pitches and a cricket pavilion and pitch.
