Applicants should have:

  • An undergraduate degree at 2.2 or above

Accredited prior learning:

  • Master's level credits obtained in a relevant discipline in the past 5 years will be considered towards the MA
  • Experiential professional learning may also be accredited subject to approval

Our Master's in Education course is ideal for anyone who is passionate about education and wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

Whether you're already working in teaching, education management or policy, or a graduate interested in pursuing careers in education, this course provides the knowledge and skills to enhance your career prospects.

The MA Education extends and deepens your understanding of current theories, policies, and issues in the field through intensive study and research. You can tailor the course to your interests by selecting your topics, and work towards one of our specialist endorsements: Leadership; Teaching and Learning; Early Years; Inclusive Practice; or International Education.

Through our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, you can transfer up to 90 Master's level credits gained from previous postgraduate study in associated disciplines, including PGCEs. The MA also provides a clear route to a Doctorate in Education.
