Course content
If you’re a professional working in the fields of social work and social care then our Professional Development and Practice course offers you the ideal opportunity to enhance your knowledge and advance your career.
This course is especially suited for social work and social care practitioners working in child, adult and mental health care. It’s also a great development opportunity for anyone working in areas such as youth offending services (YOS), homeless services, domestic violence, learning disabilities and substance misuse.
If you’re a social worker, this course will provide evidence of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), in order to meet Social Work England requirements for renewing your registration.
We also recommend this course as a valuable CPD opportunity for non-social work-qualified staff who are looking to advance their careers.
Depending on the modules chosen it may be possible to undertake the courses via online learning, which will suit applicants who are unable to travel to the Preston Campus. This can be discussed prior to your application by contacting the course leader Matthew Graham via email.
