The University of Leeds is one of the UK's largest universities, world-famous for its teaching and research and located in the heart of a vibrant, affordable and student-friendly city. Our Courses

We offer over around 300 postgraduate courses, so whether you want to enhance your career opportunities or simply pursue your passion for a subject, there's a course at Leeds to suit you. Our taught programmes include MA, MSc and MBA qualifications, and we also have a wide range of research degrees such as PhD, MRes and MPhil.

World-class facilities

Our size means we can offer you the very best facilities. Leeds University Library is one of the UKs leading academic research libraries. We hold over 2.8million printed items, plus extensive online resources and our Special Collections are recognised as collections of outstanding international importance by the Arts council.

Our specialist Language Centre offers year-round English language courses to support international students before and during studies, with access to learning materials in over 40 different languages. The Edge is our state-of-the-art fitness, sport and well-being facility which includes a 25m 8-lane swimming pool and the largest fitness suite of any UK university. Leeds University Union is located at the heart of our campus and houses not only a host of shops, cafes and meeting rooms, but also provides support to all our students on everything from academic and pastoral support to housing and finances.

Leeds has all you can expect from a major city and is surrounded by beautiful, accessible countryside. Our campus is located just a few minutes' walk from Leeds city centre, giving you all the benefits of studying at a campus University and living close to a lively cosmopolitan city. Leeds is famous in the UK not only as a major shopping destination, but also for our proud sporting tradition and is home to teams such as Leeds united Football Club, Yorkshire Cricket Club, and the Leeds Rhinos Rugby club. The city also has a vibrant cultural life, including theatres, art galleries and museums, 13,500 seat Leeds Arena. Leeds is one of the greenest cities in Britain with more parkland than any other European city.

Fees and funding

Our postgraduate students benefit from around £10m of funding from the University and externally. Postgraduate scholarships are available to international, UK and EU students; we recommend you take a look at our scholarships finder to see the opportunities available to you.

The University of Leeds is accepting applications for our Anniversary Research Scholarships. There are 128 fully funded places for 2016 entry, available across all disciplines.

Students can apply for Masters level study or a research degree.
