- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant discipline.
- The university may shortlist and invite you to an interview.

Course content
Explore Europe through two universities and two cultures.
This innovative two-year MA programme gives you the opportunity to study European politics, law, economics, and culture from multiple perspectives, while living and learning in both Ireland and Germany.
Offered jointly by the University of Limerick and Europa-Universität Flensburg, the programme leads to two internationally recognised MA degrees, thus offering exceptional value.
You’ll spend your first year at UL and your second year in Flensburg.
The curriculum is interdisciplinary and immersive, combining academic rigour with real-world insight. Places are limited, so early application is strongly encouraged.
Whether you’re aiming for a career in international organisations, government, NGOs, or further research, this programme equips you with the knowledge, skills, and experience to succeed in a multilingual, multicultural Europe.
During this programme, you will:
