Entry requirements

Primary degree or equivalent professional qualification in a cognate discipline (e.g. Business/Commerce with HRM) at first and second class honours. Practical business experience and/or insights into the human resource management issues that confront organisations would be an advantage. Experience is a prerequisite for entry to the part-time programme.

Modules include:
Semester 1
Human Resource Management in Transition, Issues in International Political Economy
Comparative Industrial Relations, Psychology of Strategic Decision Making and Organisational Change.

Semester 2
Irish and European Labour Law, Theory and Practice of Negotiations: Workshop
Human Resource Development, International Innovations in Human Resource Management
Minor Thesis.
Part time students take 2 modules per semester.

Fees and funding

The University of Limerick is offering 10 taught postgraduate scholarships to potential applicants for the 2018/19 academic year. The value of each scholarship is €2,000. The successful candidates will receive the scholarship in the form of a reduced fee. The Scholarships will be allocated by the faculties on the basis of financial need and personal statement from the applicants.
