Entry requirements

Applicants should possess either:
- A minimum of a 2:2 class degree in any subject, equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree; or
- Professional work experience in a related field and/or other prior qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All applicants must provide evidence that they have an English language ability equivalent to an IELTS (academic) score of 6.5.
If you don’t have an IELTS or equivalent certificate, you can take our free online English test to assess your proficiency. You don’t need to prove your English ability if you are a national of, or have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree in, any of these countries.

Develop specialist knowledge and professional skills to become an outstanding digital marketing manager, either in your current employment or when forging a new career in the field of marketing.
This MSc Digital Marketing programme provides a comprehensive and high-level education from an elite AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accredited Management School. Throughout the programme you will have the opportunity to explore how digital marketing fits in with traditional marketing theories and practices and consider what future trends in digital marketing will look like.
On this programme you will delve into the theories and practices of becoming a leader, consumer behaviour, brand creation and management, as well as digital communications and social media marketing.
One of the key elements of the programme design is to equip students with the ability to engage in critical reflection whilst improving their self-awareness, leading to long-term transformations in their ability to be highly effective leaders, managers and marketing professionals who can influence and guide organisational marketing strategy.
Teaching methods and style
This programme is designed to be studied wholly online and part-time. Teaching is delivered through our state-of-the-art virtual learning environment, which provides students with access to all resources required for interactive study online. On this platform you will be encouraged to work collaboratively with classmates and actively read around your topic through our comprehensive library of eBooks and journals.
Methods of assessment
Assessment is exclusively through online assignments rather than examinations. You will be assessed through a range of activities, including written assignments, discussion forum participation and journal entries.
Career destinations
Upon successful completion of the programme, you will have developed an understanding of the career opportunities within marketing and will be able to articulate your career aims. This will be enhanced by access to guest speakers from marketing practice embedded within modules, which will take the form of either a video podcast or webinar where students can ask questions to the speaker.

Fees and funding
Full tuition fee – £16,868 (2024/2025 academic year)
- An Executive Scholarship of 15% is available for the May 2025 intake.
- 10% discount for University of Liverpool alumni.
- You will receive a 5% discount if you choose to pay the full tuition fee upfront.

To achieve a full master’s degree, you will be required to complete 180 credits. This programme is also available as a postgraduate certificate (PG Cert) which amounts to 60 credits and a postgraduate diploma (PG Dip) which amounts to 120 credits. Students who complete the PG Cert and PG Dip will have the opportunity to progress to a full master’s degree.
