Entry requirements

A good first or second class UK honours degree, or overseas equivalent, will usually be required: minimum 2:1 or the equivalent from an Internationally recognised university.

Applicants with relevant experience or professional qualifications will also be considered.

Prior knowledge or experience of your chosen subject area is not required. We welcome applications from recent university graduates from a wide range of disciplines.

Course content

The growing importance of digital technologies has created a number of challenges for marketers. The number of channels through which to reach individuals has multiplied, whilst customers are better informed and more connected than ever. They communicate with each other, influence buying behaviour and brand reputation, and provide marketers with a wealth of insight to an extent unimaginable a few years ago.

The MSc Marketing (Digital Marketing) is one of the three pathways available in the MSc Marketing programme. Our other pathways include:

  • Consumer Marketing
  • International Marketing

This programme provides students with the business context and the tools needed to make the best use of digital channels, helping them to better understand how customers and prospective customers communicate with firms online. Key topics covered include the commercial and social context behind digital, search engine marketing, developing content, digital marketing strategies, and building effective relationships with customers through social media. You will understand how to apply the key building blocks of successful digital strategies.

Information for international students

A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with no element below 6.0).

Applicants to Henley Business School, whose first language is not English, will be required to attain the International English Language Test Scores (IELTS), or equivalent acceptable qualification accepted by the University, as defined below, to enter a programme.

However, for students who successfully complete one of the Pre-sessional English Language courses run by our International Study and Language Institute, we will accept students with a result of 6.5, with no element below 5.5 in each of the four sub-skills, providing the student has completed the relevant English course with us.
