Course content
Enhance your understanding of education and teaching with our Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Reflective Practice) top-up course.
Offered by the University of Reading’s Institute of Education, this programme is designed for both primary and secondary school teachers who already hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are working towards the qualification.
You’ll explore how evidence-based research can support and inform future practice through a mix of live online group tutorials, individual tutorials and pre-recorded material.
You will complete two assignments over the course of your studies. One addresses a whole-school issue with a focus on effective behaviour management for learning, the use of oracy in the classroom, and creating an inclusive classroom environment. The other will involve an action research project designed to develop an aspect of your classroom practice. Both assignments will give you credits that can be used towards a master’s in Education.
