The MBA is defined as 'a career development generalist programme for those who have post-graduation and relevant work experience on which the learning process should build'. Students may have a first degree in any discipline with a minimum of two years' work experience. It is expected that most, if not all, students admitted will complete the MBA stage. Standard Entry: a demonstration of the ability to study successfully at postgraduate level, which will normally mean at least a second class honours degree in any subject or an equivalent management or professional qualification (for example, in accountancy, human resource management, logistics, nursing, surveying, engineering) or the successful completion of an appropriate access programme; two years' relevant work experience, which will involve postgraduate level work and experience with some responsibility of line management and/or finance and can explain how an MBA will improve career prospects; graduates for whom English is not the mother tongue must have 6.5 IELTS overall with no less than 5.5 in any band, or equivalent. Non-Standard Entry: a mature applicant lacking one of the above academic qualifications above may be considered for entry if s/he has held a senior managerial position for over three years and is able to demonstrate the ability to fulfil the objectives of the programme and achieve the standards required.
