Entry requirements
A UK bachelor’s degree with upper second-class honours or higher and usually a master’s degree (typically at merit or higher) in a relevant subject. See international equivalent qualifications on our website

Course content
We provide a stimulating environment for research degrees in gerontology, global ageing, the lifecourse and social policy. You’ll undertake training in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and be invited to participate in research seminars and workshops and to contribute to the Gerontology Forum. You will also be encouraged to participate at the annual British Society of Gerontology conference.
Information for international students
If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate your English meets our Band C: For IELTS, this is 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.0 in all components. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see the website.
