Course content

Embark on a transformative research journey with our PhD in Chemical Engineering. You’ll engage with pioneering research that spans a diverse range of fields, including sustainable materials for energy, life cycle assessment and multi-criteria decision-making, carbon capture technologies, membrane separation processes, catalysis and reaction engineering, electrochemical and bio-electrochemical systems, and advanced computational fluid dynamics. Our brand new, state-of-the-art laboratories and access to unique specialist equipment will provide the ideal environment to develop your expertise. You will be supported to conduct high-impact research, share your findings at international conferences, and publish in leading scientific journals, preparing you for a rewarding career in academia or industry.

Information for international students

If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate your English meets our Band C: For IELTS, this is 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.0 in all components. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see the website.
